Where Is The Outrage Now?

Where Is The Outrage Now?

by Dan Maes on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 12:31pm
I remember that first TEA Party on the West Steps 2009.  One person arrived with a sign, then another.  Then groups arrived, and then more.  The famous picture of 7,000 TEA Partiers adorned our first campaign flier and I was proud to be part of it.  I met the 9.12 Project there and a light went on in my mind and heart that their philosophy was the content of what had been spinning through my mind as I tried to formulate my own campaign message.  The Tea Party was about Taxed Enough Already but the 9.12 placed that one additional aspect into the political mix which I identified as Christian values; the very same values that formed the foundation our founding documents.

The aspects of the failure of many, but certainly not all, recently elected Rs that had us in an uproar where R's that voted for TARP and other tax increases.  TARP seemed to be the spark that lit the TP movement.  A return to our basis conservative principles also seemed to be the rallying cry. Lower taxes, smaller government, and for some a return to socially conservative values of which some were indifferent about were the desire of the heart and mind.  One can not ignore the desire to return to a strong constitutional government federally with the hope of state leaders also standing strong for states rights.  "Vote them all out" was a rally cry that was certainly targeted at career politicians, especially those who had lost touch with the people.

It became obvious to me as a candidate that you were not going to tolerate candidates who didn't show up and, when they did,  who pandered to audiences based on their philosophical leanings.  You wanted straight answers, honesty and integrity.

Later you were advised as to what the best path to affect the Party would be. It was to change it from within.  If you really wanted to rid the system of career politicians, R's that voted more like D's when it came to TARP and other fiscal issues, you must participate in the caucus, assembly, and primary process.  Many of you even changed from U to R to accomplish the feat.  Thank you!

Eighteen months later your candidates won the primaries in most cases.  Even Clear the Bench ran off the most liberal of our Supreme Court justices, congrats Matt!  You all did everything exactly as you were supposed to.  You participated and sacrificed like Americans had never done before.  I know, I was there.  Do you remember?  I was the only candidate for Governor there in most cases.  I too rose to the challenge as issued by the GOP.  So if you and I, hundreds of thousands of grass roots activists did exactly as we were were recommended to do, fought for our candidates and they won, then why has the Governor's race evolved as it has?  Most importantly, why are some of you turning to a last minute entry in the race?  One that literally manipulated the rules to gain access and then appealed to you to forget everything you did and switch.  Where is your outrage over this manipulative act?

I am so proud of the thousands who have already and that will stand by their candidate who worked so hard, side by side with them. To those of you who have not voted and are still struggling, I ask again, where is your outrage over this act that is it happened in Europe, Asia, or any other country you would label it as corrupt?  You watched in disbelief as it happened to a conservative in NY last year.  Where is your outrage now?

I am making an appeal to those of you who stood in that cold rainy park in Greeley, to those who stood in the cool morning of the West Steps, to those who packed into meeting rooms in Centennial and Pagosa Springs, to those who wondered how they were going to get home from Civic Center Park to hold firm to your first instincts and not be baited by another career politician dressed up as an outsider when convenient but claiming to be an R or a U when needed.  You should be outraged at the events of this race and voting for the man you supported in the primary.  I ask for your vote and your support, again.

God Bless,

Dan Maes

I want to tell you a story. I want to tell you why it is such an important civic duty and obligation to cast your ballot in your country.
In January,  2005 I was on my first sniper mission in Iraq.  This was not just any mission. My mission was to provide sniper over-watch at a polling site in the Anbar Province.  To have snipers posted for security at a polling site in the United States would be unheard of.  Iraq in 2005 was a different story.  The Insurgents terrorist from Syria and Iran had moved into our sector.  They forcibly took over peoples homes and turned their houses into IED factories and weapon store houses.   Anyone who objected would have their entire family, women and children included, summarily shot and their bodies tossed in the ditch.  The average Iraqi citizen that I ran into wanted only to raise their family and scrape out a living as best they could, not much different than you and I. The voters that cold day in Iraq had to make a choice.
By January of 2005 the Iraqi people had already been trough hell.  The people of Iraq had already endured the oppressive regime of Saddam, where political opposition was met with a military execution squad.  Entire families disappeared under his rule, never to be heard from again.  He was truly a brutal dictator.  As well, they had to contend with the Insurgent Jihadist who had infiltrated their world.  These Jihadist had only one goal, which was to kill as many Americans as they could.  They did not care who got in their way.  Women and children were of no concern.  It was commonplace for these Jihadist to plant bombs right next to grade schools because they knew that American Soldiers and Marines would go there to hand out candy and school supplies which had been donated by the generous American public. More importantly Iraqis had to deal with the American Soldiers and Marines and the very presence of us being in their country. Could they trust us?  Were we actually out to murder every last one of them and steal their oil as they had been told by the Jihadist? Were we going to murder their children and rape their women as the Jihadist had told them we would?  They had to make a very difficult choice and everything , there very lives and the lives of their family and loved ones were at stake.
It was not a matter of who is the best candidate, as it is here in America. It was a life or death decision.  Voting at all meant risking your entire family being rounded up in the middle of the night and shot in the back of the head.  To vote at all was to effectively make the decision, with their lives and family to support the American effort and cast out the Insurgent Jihadist.
As the polls began to open no one showed up for several hours. By about noon the men began to trickle into the polls to cast their ballot.  By 2pm or so the women had finished their daily workload and began to show up.  By the time the polls closed there was still a line of women waiting outside the large tents to cast their lot. Every voter had to dip their thumb in simi-permenant black ink to show they had voted and to prevent someone from voting more than once.  It was not a sophisticated method such as the computer ballots we have here in America but it did the job. After casting their ballots, these women would walk down the line of those still waiting to vote holding their thumbs high in the air proudly showing off their badge of courage stamped on their thumb.  Yelping, hollering in unintelligible tones of joy and pride these women were defiant after centuries of being oppressed.  They now had their voice.  These women were the first ever women to vote in that country.
They risked it all.  Within a week of the election it was clear the Iraqis had sided with America, Freedom and democracy.  Sadly there was stark evidence of the Jihadist work in the days that followed.  Scores of bodies with black thumbs were found in the ditches and streets of Iraq.  However the seed of freedom and Liberty had been sown.  Within another year, they would step up with their rifles in the streets and start turning on the Insurgent Jihadist.  Although never reported by the media, there were several occasions where Iraqi citizens would grab their AK-47 's and fight for freedom from the tyranny of jack booted thugs right along side American Soldiers and Marines. They voted not to save their country, They voted to save their families in a way that most Americans could not even fathom.
So back to my original question. Why should you bother to vote?  Although Iraq is on the other side of the planet and has a culture seemingly completely different than ours, we are much more alike that it appears. Iraq is a country reborn in our lifetime.  You witnessed it happen on Fox news, an I saw it unfold right before my eyes.  The birth of modern post Saddam  Iraq is no different in principle than the birth of our own nation and its 10 year long revolution.  It is time to put things into perspective.
When our own country was born there were those who had to make the exact same choice.  They had to put their "families, fortune,   lives and their sacred honor" on the line, just like the Iraqi people had to do in 2005.  When our country was being birthed, families were murdered, churches and towns burned to the ground for supporting the concept of freedom and liberty.  They paid the price for you.  Many of their loved ones ended up face down in the ditch during our revolution because they stood defiant in the face Tyranny. They paid the price for your Liberty, Freedom and the ideals of democracy, including the coveted right to vote.  If you choose to stay home on election day, you not only dishonor those who died for you to have that right, you risk losing it for future generations.  Once it is lost,.. there can only be one eventual outcome.  In time, the people will look back to a long lost past when people used to be free.  Only the oldest, will remember what it was like to vote. It will be up to the future youth to seek out and find a solution to their present situation and right themselves as our forefathers did and as the Iraqi People did.  Your children and Grand children will have to risk it all with their lives because you were too busy to vote... This my friends is one of the simple truths of our world..Anytime you allow a right to atrophy, It will be lost.

Respectful I Remain,

A LINE IN THE SAND

Jimmie Butler
Yesterday I took a little time away from campaigning for Dan Maes to attend a memorial service for a friend and classmate at the USAF Academy chapel and cemetery. I’ve shared these thoughts with some of you, but I’d like to share them with... more of Dan’s supporters and his limited, one-note chorus of detractors.

In those bittersweet few hours, I was reminded once again about what an extraordinary group of young men I joined up with on 26 June 1959. Of the 499 we graduated on 5 June 1963, with President John F. Kennedy as our graduation speaker, 18 were killed in action in Southeast Asia. I would never dishonor their memory and that of a number of other friends who died there, as well, by voting for a draft dodger for any significant political office no matter what rationales a bunch of desperate people come up with.

I learned long ago that when a line is drawn in the sand, it may be a tough decision to decide which side of that line to stand on. I choose a side based on what I believe, then look around--at those standing on my side of the line and those I see across the line. I'm very proud to be alongside Dan Maes and his family and all the other passionate principled people I see on my side of the line.

I may or may not wake up angry on 3 November, but I will wake up with a clean conscience. Will you???

Dan would be a fine Governor, and has plans for jobs, the economy, illigal immigration, and very importantly, he understands AGENDA 21 and ICLEI. If you don't, you better start learning. These are UN programs, that most of the large citie...s in CO have already signed on to. This is all under the name of "green" and sounds very good, bike paths, etc, but the goal is to take away all private property, hustle people into congested living areas, and take away our sovereignty. If you think it's hard to get to the mtns to go skiing now, due to the crowds, no worries, under these programs, ski areas will be eliminated, and you will not even be Allowed to visit open space areas, not unless you are an elite. Remember the burning of the restaurant at the top of Vail ski area about 7 or 8 yrs ago? Some of you do. Well, that was done by Earth First, an extremely radical so-called environmental group. The head of earth first has been able to make their plans the guiding force behind Agenda 21. Don't believe me, go to the DeWeese report, and read for yourself. He will be interviewed on Freedom Talk Netcast this coming week, and the show will be up on Sunday. Go there now for Pastor Manning on other important issues, and bookmark this site. www.freedomtalknetcast.com

Remember Tea Party people, why we got in this to begin with?

Tish Odom Obama brought Chicago politics to the federal government and Tancredo brought them to our state government!! Two peas in a pod!

Gary Bennett Dan I proudly voted for you to day. If we were Dem's I could have voted for you early & often. Now that we have Chicago politics in Colo.

Jeanette Lay Koniecki Principle over politics all the way Dan. I am so proud to vote for such an outstanding man who has ran a very positive campaign and gives glory where glory is due. GO DAN GO! I wish I could be with you guys on Tuesday.

Richard Drake Well Tom wont get my vote, not as underhanded as he has been! Get after it Dan!

Patti Meyer Conroy You have our vote!

Charles William Henderson
Dan, thank you for keeping your campaign on the high ground. Facing the likes of Tom Tancredo has to infuriate you. His comments about how an election is not high school show us exactly how he would govern--heartless and cutthroat, and zero... integrity. When I vote, I vote FOR a candidate, not against one. I pick the candidate I believe will make the best Governor, not the candidate I think might win. I vote my conscience, and to do otherwise sells out my own integrity. Thank you Dan for showing us real class and true grace. God's blessings to you and your family.

David Robert Crawford We are still after it here on the west side, only got one kid going around trying to peddle TT literature to local businesses. Combined rally today, Salazar was in town. Outdid his folks 2-1. Along with this, we supported You with only the kid bringing a TT sign. All in all a very satisfying outing! DRC

Marilyn Oden GO MAES! AGAIN YOU WERE FABULOUS! GREAT DEBATE!

Chang Anderson ‎@Mary, this is just like when I was at a debate when I was flipped off by a TT supporter when I mumbled to myself "BS" to one of his comment.

John Ebel Thanks Dan. It takes some kind of man to stay such a challenging course.

Mary Anne Greer I like you Dan. I know it is getting tough but hang in there.

Terry Green naw, stay the course DAN!

Cindy Lyons
DRC: I am going to write about how Maes was treated and how TT tactics helped drive down Maes candidacy. I'll be interviewing any and all who can give me info.

DAN MAES: I voted for you today. I don't think I have enjoyed voting for anyone ...more than you. I also enjoyed voting for Jerell Klaver who is opposing Doug Lamborn (who endorsed TT).

Thomas Cline And with PRIDE, I say "I'm with you!"

Rick Barnes Already done And God Bless You Your family this state and our Country! Thank you for staying the course.
Dan Maes Another debate tonight revealed who the next Governor should be. I had to help TT answer a question because he could not even get his own words out. The mayor was the mayor. I ask you to vote your conscience and pick the right person for you not who you think can win. Stop the cycle of losing with who we think can win.

Dan Maes But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. Peace, righteousness, security, and triumph over opposition is the heritage of the servants of the Lord; this is the vindication which they obtain from me, says the Lord. Freedom of Speech and a sign in Grand Junction

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The heated sign of President Obama stirred emotions nationwide after it was raised on I-70B earlier this month. The billboard was taken down after violent threats, creating even more of a storm over freedom of speech. But now, the man who commissioned the political cartoon has revealed himself.
Arvid Mosnes, a father of five who moved his family to Grand Junction after living in Norway for decades, shelled out the money for the controversial sign. Mosnes says he fears how the Obama Administration is handling our nation, and says he had to take action. Even though the billboard was taken down, Mosnes is dedicated to keeping it in the public eye, starting off by taking it on tour.
Mosnes says he wanted to get people thinking about the president who he says is taking the country in the wrong direction. "He (President Obama) wants to bring the U.S. down, and I do not accept it. so, I go ahead with this little creation and provoke thought," says Mosnes.
The sign provoked more than that, after violent threats forced the owner of the billboard to take it down. "If they hate it that's fine. But, I wish they would keep their nasty language to themselves," says Paul Snover, the artist who drew the sign under Mosnes's direction.
Mosnes says he stayed anonymous because he was out of town when the sign went up. "Paul has been taking brunt in beginning. But, it's not my character not to show up and come forward," says Mosnes.
He's continuing the sign saga by taking it on tour with the Tea Party Express. Mosnes and Snover just got back from two rallies in Illinois. "This country is the only country that I'm aware of where people march in the streets, spend their own money, to tell government, 'stay out of my life.''
Mosnes chose to express his political sentiments through political cartoons. He says each of the characters, President Obama depicted as a terrorist, Mexican bandito, gangster and homosexual, represented an issue. "On terrorism, he's not fighting hard enough. There's a gangster in there. It has to do with corruption. We have banditos in there...illegal immigrants. A gay person is put in to represent the various special interest groups," says Mosnes.
Interpret it as you will, Mosnes says his message has more meaning than a sign could ever portray. "We all come together to save, and protect and defend the Constitution and the future of this country for sake of children," says Mosnes.
Mosnes says he will auction the sign off on eBay and donated the money to the charity, America's Mighty Warriors, which aids wounded soldiers.

“I'm 63 and I’m Tired"

“I'm 63 and I’m Tired"

by Robert A. Hall

cid:9FF94D62A1924BF7A27AAAE81003EC3C@user639bdd8637 I'm 63 Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce and a six-month period when I was between jobs, but job-hunting every day, I've worked, hard, since I was 18. Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven't called in sick in seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, there's no retirement in sight, and I'm tired. Very tired.

I'm tired
of being told that I have to "
spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.

I'm tired of being told that I have to pay more taxes to "keep people in their homes." Sure, if they lost their jobs or got sick, I'm willing to help. But if they bought McMansions at three times the price of our paid-off, $250,000 condo, on one-third of my salary, then let the left-wing Congress-critters who passed Fannie and Freddie and the Community Reinvestment Act that created the bubble help them with their own money. I'm tired of being told how bad  America is by left-wing millionaires like Michael Moore, George Soros and Hollywood Entertainers who live in luxury because of the opportunities  America offers. In thirty years, if they get their way, the United States will have the economy of  Zimbabwe , the freedom of the press of China , the crime and violence of Mexico , the tolerance for Christian people of Iran , and the freedom of speech of Venezuela .

I'm tired
of being told that Islam is a "
Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honour"; of Muslims rioting over some slight offence; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari'a law tells them to.

I'm tired
 of being told that "
race doesn't matter" in the post-racial world of Obama, when it's all that matters in affirmative action jobs, lower college admission and graduation standards for minorities (harming them the most), government contract set-asides, tolerance for the ghetto culture of violence and fatherless children that hurts minorities more than anyone, and in the appointment of U.S. Senators from Illinois.   I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and mandrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in America , while no American group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia  to teach love and tolerance. I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate. My wife and I live in a two-bedroom apartment and carpool together five miles to our jobs. We also own a  three-bedroom condo where our daughter and granddaughter live. Our carbon footprint is about 5% of Al Gore's, and if you're greener than Gore, you're green enough.

I'm tired
 of being told that "
drug addicts have a disease," and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off? I don't think Gay people choose to be Gay, but I damn sure think druggies chose to take drugs. And I'm tired of harassment from cool people treating me like a freak when I tell them I never tried marijuana.
I'm tired of illegal aliens being called "undocumented workers," especially the ones who aren't working, but are living on welfare or crime. What's next?  Calling drug dealers, "Undocumented Pharmacists"?  And, no, I'm not against Hispanics. Most of them are Catholic, and it's been a few hundred years since Catholics wanted to kill me for my religion.  I'm willing to fast track for citizenship any Hispanic person, who can speak English, doesn't have a criminal record and who is self-supporting without family on welfare, or who serves honourably for three years in our military.... Those are the citizens we need.

I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of both parties talking about "innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes," when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.

Speaking of poor, I'm tired
of hearing people with air-conditioned homes, color TVs and two cars called poor. The majority of Americans didn't have that in 1970, but we didn't know we were "
poor." The poverty pimps have to keep changing the definition of poor to keep the dollars flowing.

I'm real tired
of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-whatever for their problems.

Yes, I'm d--- tired
. But I'm also glad to be 63. Because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my granddaughter..

Robert A. Hall is a Marine Vietnam veteran who served five terms in the Massachusetts State Senate.

Why do the attacks on Dan continue??

My comments on Dan, his BK, and other aspects:

He filed BK after taking on all the bills from a divorce, and finally, after trying to pay them, was unable to and had no other choice. This is perfectly legal, and no reflection on his business whatsoever.  It was not a business BK.  The bible says that debts shall be forgiven every 7 years.  This is in the Old Testament, Jewish law.  If God says it's ok, then no one should attack Dan.  Most of TT's followers don't even think this is an issue.

People need to stop taking pot shots at Dan, and look at the failings of the other candidates.  There is far more in their closets, yet since they are with the elite power brokers, they are somehow immune.

Dan has run a fair and honest campaign.  He has suffered incredible attacks, yet he remains stalwart, and honorable.  There is far more evil in the way TT operated, than is being discussed.  Evidence is mounting that Freda and TT collaborated to set Dan up.  She and TT were buddy buddy before the money transfer.  I have no doubt but that she told him it's under the table.  Remember, she has been a lobbyist for 45 years.  One doesn't have that kind of background, and not know how to play people.  Another Republican that was viciously attacked by TT has come forward with information.  Dan does not have the funds to properly counter the lies and vicious attacks.

But God sees all.  In time, the truth will come out.  I believe that we entered this Tea Party, to get rid of the power brokers, and the elite back room BS.  We the people are sick and tired of these shenanigans.  TT has recently stated himself, that Dan's supporters are vicious liars, that Dan is sick, but these are his own shortcomings.  TT has been called crazy by many who know him well and have worked with him for some time.  He recently stated that Dan's followers are viciously attacking him.  This is just the exact opposite of the truth!  Dan's followers have been flipped off by a Republican official, from Castle Rock, and terribly attacked, maligned and mistreated.  And yes, I said flipped off!  This is the behaviour we should accept and expect from our officers and leaders?

I support TT's stance against illegal immigration, and the fact that he wants to strengthen state's rights and the 10th amendment.  But I cannot go along with the tactics, and the Alinsky style attacks on Dan.  Those people who are not involved with this closely, do not understand how this all came about.  They bought into the lies and attacks on Dan.  In my mind, he has been vindicated completely.  Just because someone has money, power and influence, they should not be able to malign another person.  These people set about to destroy Dan, not only as a politician, but personally.  This is despicable and disgusting, and I cannnot go along with it.  Therefore, TT would never ever have my vote.

I have also discovered that there is an indication that TT thinks Dan is Hispanic, due to his last name, and is therefore on a vendetta, to destroy him.  (Maes is a common name in Denver, and Hispanic).  If you do not know TT's background, he grew up in North Denver.  This area was strongly Italian, and the illegals started moving in.  When TT and I, who grew up in East Denver, were young, No Denver was rough, and the Italians were always getting into it with the Mexicans.  Many guys hated the Mexicans, not surprisingly.  TT had an alcoholic and abusive father, and was beat up constantly not only by his dad but also the Mexican gangs.  He started taking anti depressant drugs in high school, and many mental health professionals who know him believe he needs psychiatric help.  Back in the 60's, unlike today, very very few kids were on any kind of prescription drugs for behaviour problems.  The fact that TT was, shows that his illness started some time ago.
Much of this info has recently surfaced.  And what can Dan do anyway, as the Republican party would rather kill themselves, than to allow a grassroots conservative to win.  At this point, many voters have taken the pragmatic approach, and say that we need to get TT in at all odds, to beat Hickenlooper.  The ends justifies the means.  Well, I for one do not believe that nor condone it.  As I said, there certainly are aspects to TT's "platform" that are in line with our thinking.  But the way he is going about this campaign, is not.

Everyone has the right to make their own choice, and vote their own mind.  But no one has the right to maliciously and erroneously malign another person.  This is no better than a dictatorship.  The delusional masses are obviously very easy to manipulate.  And so we will have a very interesting outcome.  Between that and the massive voter fraud taking place all over the nation, we are indeed in trouble.

Prayer for America, by Pastor John Hagee

Hebrews 12:28
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.

Founding Father Quote:“The Lord will not cast off His people; neither will He forsake His inheritance. Great events are most certainly in the womb of futurity.”

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we are grateful for the privilege of being citizens of this great country, but we humbly realize that our permanent citizenship is in the kingdom of God, that invisible system of government we engage in spiritually, through the blood of the Lamb. Lord, it is an honor to live in America, a nation created from the same principles that are perfected in Your kingdom to come. However, until that time, move us to cling to Your ways, as our forefathers did, so our children can also hope in the parallel advantages of our unique, God inspired Constitution.

Comments to Beck regarding his Tancredo endorsement

POSTED BY A GRASSROOTS CONSERVATIVE
Glenn,
I just listened to your television show (recorded earlier today) and almost vomited (plus had blood shoot out of my eyes) when I heard your spiel on Tom Tancredo.
You are SO wrong on this issue.  My husband and I already sent you one email about this, but after hearing what you had to say on today'sTV show, we are sending a second one.

First of all, you were in Colorado Springs, NOT Denver.  Second, you say something along the lines of "vote for the candidate with the most honor and integrity."  Then you go on to say that Tancredo is smashing his opponent (or something like that.)
Tancredo and the GOP have effectively destroyed Dan Maes.....our earlier email details this.  You would be wise to learn it before opening your mouth on TV and getting so excited about a 3rd party candidate.

Honor and integrity?  We beg you to listen to the ads Tom Tancredo put out about his conservative (not RINO) Republican opponent.  Then we dare you to claim Tancredo has honor and integrity.  Listen to Dan Maes's ads.  There are none like that.  Dan has not resorted to the ugliness, nor climbed into the pit of venom.  Tancredo has run the most vile of campaigns, helped along by the establishment GOP.

Tom Tancredo is NOT a 3rd party candidate except for in this race.  He is a big time RINO Republican who is using the ACP party as a means to an end.  It is all about power over principle for him. Tom is claiming he will govern like a Republican (not an ACP candidate.)  When you learn he has taken money from Planned Parenthood and you study his Congressional votes you will see the man is NO conservative. When you hear his views on legalizing drugs you know the man is NO conservative. Faith? I would venture to say the man has none given his behavior in this campaign.  His one issue is immigration, and even that we don't trust.  The man is an absolute snake in the grass.  You should have done the research.

Letter to Glenn Beck

My email to Glenn, posted by a grassroots Conservative!
Glenn,
There was a horrible mistake made on your radio show this morning.
Colorado has a Tea Party candidate for Governor and his name is Dan Maes.  We worked very hard to get him in there, he is not a polished politician, like TT.  You really need to check your sources before airing an interview like this one today. I hope Dan Maes will get equal airtime.
TT has cheated lied and slither like a snake to destroy Dan Maes.
I promise you....TT does not live by your ethics and code of Honor.  You need to be in Colorado and listen to the ads he has run against a very good businessman that can turn Colorado around.  TT could see where he could not get on the ticket as a Rep. so he quit the GOP and slithered onto the ballot.  He did exactly what he admitted to doing, while in Montrose, ...he put "spin" on your question and took it right back to immigration....the only platform that he has.
He is the biggest scam Colorado has seen.
I have attached my Letter to the Editor.
I hope you can help us get this mistake corrected in time.

I now know those persons I'd want standing beside me in a fox hole!

I made a similar comment in the last week or so when I talked about the importance of being able to judge early the quality of men (and now women) you're going into combat with. Fortunately, you and I would never have had to go into combat... alongside Tancredo because he made sure he'd never be close to the front lines along with other Americans who served and went forth to do their duties to the best of their abilities.
I told the person that my first impressions of Dan Maes were formed in March at the first campaign event I attended. Now I'm getting toward 20 times of seeing him, photographing him, listening to him, and my confidence in Dan Maes now is stronger than back in March. He is handling all the heinous lies and smears with much more grace than I would ever be able to muster.

As a retired USAF Colonel who flew 240 combat missions in Southeast Asia, integrity has been probably the most important measuring stick to me of all. From my observations, the integrity of Dan Maes far exceeds that of Tom Tancredo. As I told the person I made these arguments to previously, I would have no qualms returning to combat alongside Dan Maes.
He's been attacked relentlessly in a manner Saul Alinsky would smile about by a career politician who has shown us he has no honor. I encourage alll grassroots voters who are going to the polls on Tuesday to elect Dan Maes. I don't believe the poll numbers as Tancredo has no ground game in Colorado's conservativ bastion of El Paso County nor apparently very much outside of some areas in greater Denver.

Dear HillBuzz,

I have been following you since the 2008 election and love what you’ve been doing!  One of the things I’ve enjoyed the most is your spot on assessment of the national and state GOP.
Since I moved to CO, the state has turned from red to blue.  And this year’s election cycle has definitely shown why!  In a time of when the country is telling Washington and their party leaders that they are fed up with the status quo, all the CO GOP is concerned with is not losing their power in the state – even though ALL of their hand-picked candidates lost in the Republican Primary.  The state GOP and the party elite are terrified of the Tea Party.  They don’t like how involved they’ve become in the state and the fact that they won’t fall in line and elect their RHINO candidates.  The CO GOP is willing to give up the Governor’s seat to the Democratic candidate because they didn’t hand-pick the candidate that won the Republican Primary.  In almost all of the races around the state, even in some staunchly Democratic areas, the Republican candidate is ahead or close.  And then there’s the Governor’s race…
COLORADO GOVERNOR’s RACE
If you aren’t from CO, you probably haven’t heard of Dan Maes or how the CO GOP has turned their back on their own candidate.  The current Democratic Governor is so disliked in the state that he announced early on that he would not run again to avoid having a Democratic Primary challenger. Dan Maes started running for Governor 18 months ago – he was the first Republican to announce his candidacy.  He is a conservative businessman from Evergreen (Denver area) who decided it was time for someone with executive experience to get the state back to fiscal responsibility.  The CO GOP never paid much attention to Dan Maes, as they gave him no chance of winning and they were still trying to decide who to appoint as their candidate.  After shifting candidates around, the CO GOP settled on Scott McInnis.  In CO, there is a state Assembly that determines who will be on the Republican Primary ballot.  Dan Maes was given no chance going into the Assembly, but he won both the Assembly and the Republican Primary.  And then, the schoolyard bully drama began…
Just prior to the August CO Primary, ex-Congressman Tom Tancredo issued an ultimatum to both Republican Primary candidates that whoever won the Primary needed to drop out if polls showed they could not win the general election or he would enter the race as a third party candidate.  When Dan Maes won the Primary, the polls initially showed him in a dead heat with the Democratic candidate.  Of course, Dan Maes refused this ultimatum and Tancredo entered the race.  Since then, Tancredo has begun a smear campaign against Dan Maes that revivals anything to come out of Chicago!  His whole campaign has been against Dan Maes – not the Democratic candidate – demanding that he quit being the “Ross Perot” candidate and drop out!?  In doing so, Tancredo has somehow convinced Republican elected officials and candidates to daily denounce the Republican candidate and endorse Tancredo.  In Denver, Tancredo has created a nightmare for county GOP Chairs as many of their committee members (especially in Tancredo’s old Congressional district) have come out in support of the third party candidate when their by-laws require them to support the Republican candidate – or resign.
As a long-time Conservative and Republican, I am appalled and embarrassed by not only Tancredo’s ridiculous ultimatum but also in the CO GOP’s actions in not supporting Dan Maes as their duly elected candidate.  I’ve known Dan Maes for the 18 months he’s been running and have supported him throughout and will continue to support him.  While Tancredo has been able to gain support in his old Congressional district, the rest of the state supports Dan Maes - a message which is not getting out to those in the Denver area.  Since Dan Maes can’t get support from the CO GOP, he is unable to make his case to theDenver metro area.  I urge all those that haven’t voted to rally your support behind Dan Maes and show Mr. Tancredo and the CO GOP that we will not be bullied!  We can select our own candidates regardless of whether they approve or not!
Two Congressional races to watch are Dr. Mike Fallon (R) who is running against 7-term Congresswoman Diana DeGette (D) in District 1 and retired Air Force/business professional Stephen Bailey (R) who is running against 1-term Congressman Jared Polis in District 2.  These are races the Democrats have as being safe seats.  How tight these races become will be a direct reflection on Obama’s popularity with his base in CO.
Overall, CO will pick up seats in Congress and in the State House.  But the fallout from the Governor’s race will definitely be the thing to watch from November 3rd on.
