On November 18, 2010, at 11:00 A.M., ACT! for America will hold a news conference on the steps of New York City Hall to announce the final results of our national petition opposing the Ground Zero Mosque, and to deliver the petition to Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
Guy Rodgers, ACT! for America Executive Director, will be making a statement to the media and then answer media questions.
If you haven’t yet signed the petition, there’s still time to do so before we close the petition in preparation for delivering it to Mayor Bloomberg on November 18th.
Also, if you live in the New York City area or plan on being in the area on November 18th, we invite and encourage you to attend the news conference. New York City Hall is located at Broadway and Park Row, and the news conference will be on the City Hall steps.
ACT! for America is proud of the role we played in educating Americans about the Ground Zero Mosque. In addition to our petition and the many emails we put out, Brigitte Gabriel did over 200 radio and television interviews between April and September.
Without question these actions helped created and propel the national groundswell that resulted in 70% of Americans being opposed to the Ground Zero Mosque.
While media coverage of this issue has died down, the opposition isn’t going away.
